Nordic Nurture
at NORD, Norway
Date: 18th - 21st of September, 2025
Where: NORD, Nedre Skinnes Gård, Norway
We reconnect with the healing powers of nature, to reconnect with ourselves.
Join us for a true Vexa Experience in the heart of Nordic nature, where you will reconnect with the elements Earth, Air, Fire, and Water – through yoga, mindfulness, healing ceremonies, and wholesome meals. This retreat is designed to create a harmonious balance between grounding and growth, stillness and movement, self-reflection and connection.
ABOUT THE LOCATION: Nordre Skinnes Gård is a charming farm located in Krødsherad, Norway, nestled along the picturesque shores of the Krøderfjord beneath the Norefjell mountain range. The farm is renowned for its innovative and sustainable practices, and the farm's operations are diverse and environmentally conscious, focusing on organic production. The animals, including pigs and sheep, roam freely in the forest, and the pigs even have access to their own "Pig Beach" along the fjord, where they can bathe and forage, contributing to their well-being.
Through active profiling and knowledge sharing, the farm serves as an important ambassador for agriculture, bridging the gap between farming and the broader community. Their commitment to sustainability, animal welfare, and community engagement makes Nordre Skinnes Gård a noteworthy example of modern, responsible farming in Norway.
The Retreat
You start your day with a dynamic yoga class focused on the element of the day, held by your yoga teacher, wellness fascilitator and health-wizard Emilie – followed by our signature health tonics, connecting your breath and body as you awaken your energy.
Afterwards you enjoy a Nordic-inspired breakfast buffet featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients like warm porridge, fresh berries, herbal teas, and artisan bread, made by chef Vilde.
Midday are for free time and a little bit of Nordic fun. And by fun we mean swimming in the lake, walking barefoot in the forest or sweating it all out in the sauna. And of course you will have the opportunity to participate in transformative workshops that deepens your connection to the retreat’s theme of the elements. We’re talking grounding practices, energizing breathwork, and reflective journaling to align mind, body, and spirit.
Lunch follows – a vibrant spread of fresh, seasonal dishes that fuel you with the best the season has to offer.
Afternoons give you time to rest and reflect. Curl up with a book in the cozy common areas, or explore the picturesque trails around Nordre Skinnes Gård.
You can also join optional activities such as a Nordic sauna ritual with aromatherapy led by Vilde, and a refreshing cold plunge, leaving you feeling strong like a Viking.
As the sun sets, we gather for a restorative yoga session that prepares you for the evening ahead. And dinner is a feast for the senses – colorful dishes made to nourish and celebrate the element of the day.
Evenings are for rituals, guided by both Emilie and Vilde. Cacao ceremony, sound bath, or bonfire under the stars. We share stories, release what no longer serves us, and connect with others in the sacred circle. Just like our ancestors did thousands of years ago.
End your day with a cup of the calming herbal tea of the day, and let the stillness of the farm and the magic of the retreat settle into your being, as you drift off to sleep, deeply nurtured in the nordic way.

Retreat Highlights
-
The sauna rooms 8-10 people and is warmed up by a wooden oven. The sauna has a glass wall that ensures great views over the lake Krøderen. The sauna’s exterior is inspired by a birds nest and compliments the surrounding nature.
-
The Lavvo is the heart of NORD, and made from rich traditions in the north of Norway. With its 11 meters in diameters and seven panomara windows this is the perfect place for yoga and ceremonies. The Lavvo is warmed up by a wooden oven that heats up both the tent and the floor for extra comfort and to give you that good “hygge” feeling.
-
All the meals are included, and we will serve food based on seasonal produce and ayurvedic principles. Some of the meals will be vegetarian and plant based, but meat and fish will be available every day.
We believe nourishing food and communal eating are at the heart of Nordic Nurture, and we’re proud to be serving fresh and creative meals.
-
Ceremonies and rituals were a big part of our ancestors lives. Gatherings around the fire was not only a social event where stories were told and knowledge got passed down, but a way of surviving the cold winter months.
We’re excited to give you the best of Nordic culture, by doing sauna rituals, hosting a powerful bonfire ceremony and (with influence from Central America) go on an inward journey through a cacao ceremony with Sapmi influence.
